Coincidentally or not, Cybersecurity Form was on National Computer Security Day! Our Dock Intranet Portal Team had a great time yesterday at the Cybersecurity Forum at Hyatt Regency, Jacksonville Riverfront. The event was powered by JAX Chamber and witnessed great attendance.
The event kick started with a Welcome/Frame the issue at 08:30 AM followed by a Panel Discussion on "The CISO's Tell is Like it is".There were breakout sessions by speakers Mike Housch, Black Knight Financial Services, Dan McWhorter, FireEye, Jess Hires, Optiv Inc. and Gregg Schwartzkopf, Fortinet in the morning on "How to Quickly Identify Threats on the Network. Another breakout session on "What is my Obligation to my Customer?" was presented by Stuart Smith of SunTrust Bank, Rob Carver, D+H and Vicki Harris from Maxis.
The afternoon breakout sessions started off at 12:45 PM with an interesting topic on "How to Quickly Identify Threats on the Network. We all have been working hard for developing customer base, brand reputation and of course your brand overall. A security breach can cripple a small business and, according to the National Cyber Security Alliance, 60 percent of small businesses are out of business within six months of a cyber attack.
We had lot of visitors to our booth where they had a hands-on experience on Dock Intranet Portal, the key product of Dock 365 Inc. which is powered by Office 365 and SharePoint Online. The Dock team also enlightened the visitors with the security features within Microsoft Technology.
Cloud applications are in use by most enterprises today, and we will soon reach the time where more corporate data will be stored in the cloud than on-premises. Moreover, everyone is using the cloud, and even companies without official SaaS apps in use have substantial Shadow IT usage of cloud. We know from past customer surveys that over 80% of employees admitted to using unapproved SaaS apps for corporate usage.
Joe Joseph, CEO of Global Infonet Inc. and Dock 365 Inc., said he was overwhelmed seeing the participation at the event.
“I have been part of JAXChamber IT Council for years and today's event was spectacular. I'm glad to see people responding to our turnkey Intranet Portal, Dock. The idea behind any add-on solution for Microsoft SharePoint is that it packages commonly required features so that every client doesn't need to custom develop the same thing. There are thousands of SharePoint ISV's with their products who do this in different themes in SharePoint. But from Dock, you will be getting the best commonly used features where an Intranet will use!", he said.
